This is the wedding place !

At timberline, Alta Lakes Observatory is nestled beneath the 13,000-foot Silver Mountain and Palmyra Peaks. Surrounded by national forest on a remote site next to one of the pristine Alta Lakes, wildflowers, waterfalls, streams, and a variety of wildlife abound. This spectacular setting is 13 miles from Telluride by state highway and unimproved mountain road.

A backcountry skier's paradise, this remote location with its breathtaking scenery will truly be a memory you will not forget.Alta is accessible in the summer by two-wheel vehicles; a perfect place to start or finish a back-country hiking or biking trip. The Observatory offers a highly unusual and spectacular setting for small corporate retreats, incentive groups, and small weddings or family celebrations. There is no place like it in Colorado. The setting and ambiance are unrivaled. You will find yourself in the middle of some of the most beautiful backcountry areas on the continent; the Wilson's, Sneffels, and Wemenuche Wilderness. Rivers for fishing, rafting, and kayaking include the Dolores, San Miguel, Arkansas, Gunnison, San Juan, and Colorado.
